DetailsBuying a used tractor - what you should know
Agrider sells inspected used tractors from its own yard in Kecskemét, Hungary, from compact utility tractors to 300+ hp high-horsepower machines. Every listing shows year, engine hours and price, and we arrange export paperwork and delivery across the EU and to Ukraine.
What to check on a used tractor
Start with the engine: it should start easily from cold, run without blue smoke and hold oil pressure when warm. Shift through every gear and range under load, lift the heaviest implement with the rear linkage and check that it holds, and look for leaks around the hydraulic pump and the front axle. Engine hours matter, but a documented service history matters more: a 6,000-hour tractor with records is often a safer buy than a 3,000-hour one without.
Which size of tractor do you need?
Up to 100 hp covers livestock work, front-loader jobs and small arable farms. 120 to 200 hp tractors such as the John Deere 6R, Claas Arion or Fendt 700 Vario pull 4 to 6 m cultivators and seed drills. Above 250 hp (John Deere 8R, Case IH Quadtrac, Fendt 900) are built for large arable operations with 8 m and wider implements.
Buying a tractor from Hungary
Tractors sold within the EU to a VAT-registered farm are invoiced net (intra-community supply). We help with the certificate of conformity, translations and transport, and many of our buyers come from Romania, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
